The Muse's Market 2011 Tour Far and away the biggest focal point of my career right now, the Muse's Market has evolved into a full blown "Sustainability-Focused Theatrical Concert." It's got poetry, art, music and more. It's kind of like a broadway musical...starring...sustainability.
Live Vid: Make You Remember From a recent interview with Dave Bowers on KHEN radio in Salida, CO. Is this new song a rap? or folk?

Further in the Future:
This August David Rynhart and I hit the road together again -- heading east this time. So far you can expect us in Kansas, Indiana, Iowa, Ohio, Connecticut, Virginia, and New Mexico! We're looking for more gigs all the time while we're out and about, so, please, get in touch if you want to host a house concert or have a venue in mind where we could play.
The postcard I never sent:

I got stuck in the Southern Hemisphere again this winter (and I wasn't very good about writing, either.) But check out this tree! Can you belive it's real? Photo by Lindsay McWilliams.

Hello Friends!
Check out this lovely painting that arrived, to my total surprise, on my doorstep the other day! Jessica Conlan Glover is an extremely talented (and apparantly, extremely gracious) fine artist. I think her artwork speak for itself, so I'll just say this: Jessica, thank you so very much for adding me to your incredible collection of work.
Grrr...I've been a bad penpal. I know. I got stuck in Argentina this winter where everything was magic and difficult to deny. But I've been working hard on putting together two tours this year, one east, and one west. E-mail me if you want to host a house concert. We heart house concerts.
My most recent news is this about the Muse's Market, the production that I've co-organized, written, and perform in. Please read about it, check out the website, and give it some serious consideration in terms of attending. If you can't make it, will you tell a friend? I promise they'll enjoy it.

A Sustainability-Focused Theatrical Concert
The Muse's Market intermixes my social commentary folk music with the avant-acoustic music of David Rynhart, the poetry of Panama Soweto, the journalistic photography of Sebastião Salgado, and the fine art of Jimmy Danko and Laurie Maves.
Interspersed at key moments throughout the production, Chris Garre presents environmental philosophy and sustainability solutions ranging from alternative fuels energy to the benefits of eating local food. It's an upbeat, varied show with a strong sustainability theme.
The troupe is transported on a tour bus fueled by waste vegetable oil, ensuring a neutral carbon footprint. A bonified modern-day Chautauqua, We offer you a production that creatively inspires, energizes, educates and, most of all, celebrates the community of citizens keeping the planet alive through art!

Gabrielle Louise
